Reality is not a fixed story

Reality is comparable to a river as it flows effortlessly in and through us.  Reality is immediate and real but it can never be a fixed story as it simply whistles through these physical forms and plays us for a tune.  Any experience is a momentary wave that is impermanent it its very essence, but the experience create a track within awareness as a memory and remains there for a possible recollection.

Through breathing and resting as awareness we learn to distinguish the varied streams within us.   We gradually become aware of  the many filters within our awareness that are lenses that shift our conditioned awareness into resisting life as it always is.  Life is the very push, pull and play between every polarity within our self.  The play of polarity only becomes an issue of preference when we ‘think’ that the life force is personal.

The life force is non-personal

When I finally accepted the life force as non- personal flow I started speaking directly from what I sensed and felt was emerging in and through me, without a need for any editing. I am still in the process of learning to receive the life force just as it is in and through me.  I have become aware of its natural flow.  When I sense and feel emotional pain and contraction I release any subtle energetic back up by simply being aware and noticing where I have accumulated resistance.

When the life force is no longer attached to a personal story there is no longer any need to maintain or defend a particular view of reality…all is accepted and seen without preference!  Reality is immediate, direct and unadorned as it is unedited, here, there, and everywhere.

When we stand completely detached and naked to the flow in us, in that brilliant stillness, without story, there is a mirroring of the absolute underlying reality.  The generous and free flowing beauty of life as it is becomes visible and there is no longer a story to protect or maintain.  I am no longer hiding anything, not with anyone, as I have learnt I am only hiding from an illusion of a personal self that has never been. The life force is doing this, in and through us, in whatever form it takes.

The true voyage of discovery is seeing life without the conditioned filters. It takes true courage to receive life as it is….and know, without a shadow of doubt, nothing can be known, only assumed!

    Hi Natasha,

I’m not really all that comfortable recommending my own writing, but the post I put today addresses, to some extent, the content of this post. You might want to check it out at: http://liberationfromthelie.com/2011/08/11/a-simple-but-powerful-meditation/

Thank you Eric. The following is two powerful observations in your article:

“The main obstacle to awakening is the belief that we are the body. But a quick examination of that belief shows that the body is integral to itself.’

‘You can now disassemble your belief that you are your thoughts and feelings. They too happen within the domain of the body. Awareness sees the body and the mind as the world. Without the body there is no world!”
